Today we sailed past the Snare Islands, and were supposed to go via Zodiacs nearer to the Northwestern Island to look at a penguin slide among other things. Well the seas were too rough to safely go out so we didn’t. Meanwhile I was really seasick most of the night, so I wouldn’t have gone anyway. Photo is taken through our porthole and the camera kept focusing on the raindrops on the window. Again you can’t see the huge swells but.you can tell how bleak the island is.
The rest of the day was taken up with Biosecurity briefings and, for us, sleep. Jenny was not seasick , praise the Lord, although a bit queasy.
So sorry to hear you have been seasick Aira. Island does look pretty grim through that weather. Hopefully better tomorrow. Ginger tablets! Lesley
